Let me tell you a story about how my 1st business setup in Indonesia evolved. It all started in 2006 where I was suppossed to setup a software outsourcing company in Bandung.
I thought Bandung was the right place due to ITC (Institute Technology Indonesia) and recruitment possibilities. I met up with the local authorities KMBP to start processing my license to conduct business in Indonesia.
I am a Dane so obviously I hang out a lot amongst other Danes that live in Jakarta and around. We got our own golf club, we got our own soccer team and we also have our own balut branch (a dice game).
In all of the activities above there are other nationalities involved as well – mainly Westerners, but the Danes have the most participants.
We also have a Nordic Club, which is more a family type of club where we try to keep home traditions like mid-summer parties, Christmas parties and other activities revolving around families.
